Operational Technology known by most as OpTech, is a fast-growing company, headquartered in the Atlanta, Georgia area, that specializes in the design, sales, and installation of electronic low voltage systems including camera & video surveillance, security intrusion systems, fire alarm control systems, access control systems including complete door control, gate control systems, and data & cabling. Though OpTech calls Atlanta home, OpTech is capable of handling large commercial and industrial projects across the continental United States.
OpTech personnel are well trained and highly capable. Their team leaders have been certified by the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) for fire alarm systems and video surveillance systems. This certification is a robust credential, based on inter-related elements of system design, installation, maintenance, and inspection. They have over 50 certifications from manufacturers of high-quality products that they install.
OpTech’s founder and CEO, Justin Erlenbusch, has been working in the security industry for 24 years and has owned OpTech for 16 of those years. He’s been closely involved with installation and customer facing engagement. Justin’s experience with major security system providers lead to the creation of his own company in 2014. OpTech has been growing ever since. OpTech strives to be a leader in customer service and in doing so, they also strive to provide their own team members the opportunity to transition from a job to a professional career, with the customer as the focus. Our Team
Justin Erlenbusch
CEO
Justin Erlenbusch has been in the security industry for more than 24 years and founded OpTech in 2006. Justin provides a high level of experience and support to the entire OpTech team, with a focus on strategic initiatives that improve the company and team, while growing revenue by offering products and services that are exceptional. Justin has been instrumental in leading the team at OpTech to be agile and quick to respond to customer requests and needs. He enjoys building long term relationships with every new customer, realizing that a long-term approach benefits everyone verses the short-term sales approach some companies offer.
Justin holds a NICET Fire Level 2 and a NICET Video Level 1 certification. He also holds multiple certifications from prominent manufacturers in the security industry. He is a Boiler 9 certified welder for the past 27 years which greatly helps with difficult door and gate issues. Justin’s talent doesn’t end with the job. He’s been trained in the child advocacy area and is also CPR and First Aid certified. Justin is personally involved in nonprofit charities including Essie’s Gift Ministries. He’s an Associate Pastor in his church and was a long-time coach for children’s Special Olympics. Justin has four children and has been married to his loving wife for 18 years.
Eric English
President
Eric has been with the company for more than nine years and served in a management position at a truck repair company for 4 years, prior to joining OpTech. Eric keenly manages daily operations of the company and takes pride in working with each customer to make sure installations are correctly installed and are functioning as promised. Eric has multiple certifications from top branded industry manufacturers like ProDatakey, Kantech, and Continental. He continually strives to keep up with industry technology and uses online training courses to achieve multiple accreditations and certifications from many other prominent industry companies. Eric states the importance of training because it allows him to deliver great services and products to satisfied customers.
Eric is family and community minded. He is married to his wonderful wife for more than 21 years and has two teenage daughters. He’s an associate pastor at his church, enjoys attending his daughter’s sporting events, and loves to play a real bearded Santa at Christmas. He accepts and leverages change in his industry, realizing not two customers are alike, while making sure each one is provided an exceptional experience.
Steven Pope
Safety Manager
Steven has served in the security industry for more than 5 years. Steven began his career with OpTech after meeting OpTech’s President, Eric English. His first encounter with Eric led to further discussion and he’s been making an impact at Optech ever since. Steven is a veteran and has been awarded achievement medals by the U.S. Navy and the Maine Corp. Steven’s main role at OpTech is to make sure the company maintains and follows safety regulations, while staying in compliance with OSHA. Steven is OSHA 10 Certified, OSHA 30 certified, and CPR certified. Steven’s work is a testament to OpTech’s care for its customers and employees.
Steven is happily married and has 4 wonderful children. He expresses gratitude to all at OpTech for the opportunity to make a difference.
